Mullane takes final
and series
The fourth and final round of
the
Cloud Cover Winter Series
was won by Coves Bikes rider Ashley Mullane; this also clinched
him the series from Will Soffe (big Peaks) by 1 point!

ST AIGNAN 2008
Well we took France by storm. At the first round of the Coupe de
Bretagne at St Aignan, a crushing win
for
Haby Blu Cann in the women's and 2 of the three podium places in
the men's competition.
Ashley Mullane took 2nd and Will Soffe
3rd; only local boy and former Junior worlds medallist Antoine Badouard preventing the boys from taking the top spot! Mark
Easter 2009 in your diaries as booked, we are going back! The
weather must be better next year!

Round 3 of the Cloud Cover
Winter Series at
Avill Ball was won by Will Soffe from Ashley
Mullane and James Gould.
A very wet race, but the turn out of marshals was exceptional,
many thanks to them all. Results are

Round
2 of the
Cloud Cover Winter Series was held at Birds Hill on the
Combe
Sydenham Estate. The Event was won by Mile
Strickland from Will Soffe by less than 0.06 of a second.

MULLANE RETAINS ONABIKE CUP
The ONABIKE
CUP, Britain oldest established Downhill Mountain Bike Race was won
for the fourth time in a row by Ashley Mullane but by the closest
margin in it's history just under 9 100th of a second!!.

for race results. These are based on the first runs only, as racing was abandoned
after a serious rider injury; which required the air ambulance.
Meaning we ran out of daylight. (update: The rider Tom Perry was
released from hospital in time for Christmas with broken ribs and
severe bruising.)
NB. second run times for those who completed them
are shown but have not been taken into consideration. A great shame
for some people ... but there is always next time!
