1. REGISTRATIONS
1) For the Cloud Cover Winter Series, entry is by Official Entry Form or via
the online facility provided. Early entry close at midnight, 7 days prior to
a race. Late entries will be accepted up to 24 hours before the relevant
event, but only with a late entry penalty of £5. See
here for our refund and transfer policy.
2) Entry on the day of an event,
subject to spaces being available are subject to a late entry penalty of
£10. Please enter as early as possible as this allows us to organise the
correct level of uplift.
3) There is no maximum entry limit
for any category.
4) All entries must be sent to NACC Events on the
Official Entry Form. The form will include a space for sponsor names beside
the rider’s name. Forms may be sent by either mail or fax before the
deadline. It is not necessary to be a member of a club or to hold a licence.
5) Prior to collecting their
numbers, riders must sign any necessary waivers provided by the organiser.
Riders must check that the course is suitable for their level of ability
prior to riding the course.
6) All rider numbers must be
collected no later than 10:30am on the day of the first competition (this
includes seeding runs).
7) For identification purposes, each competitor will be issued a race
number, which will provide access to the uplift and track. Competitors must
have this number attached to their bike all times while at the race site.
This number may be revoked at any time as deemed necessary at the discretion
of NACC.
2. TRAINING PERIODS
2.1. COURSE INSPECTION (Downhill)
The Downhill course will be open for competitor walking inspection from 3pm
on the day prior to an event
2.2. OFFICIAL TRAINING (DOWNHILL)
1)During these periods, the course
will be considered as being under race conditions.
2)As per UCI Rules each competitor
must complete a minimum of 2 practice runs.
3) Other than Official Training
periods and designated inspection times, NACC Events will accept no
responsibility for the safety of the riders on the course. It is forbidden
to access the course outside of official training periods and designated
inspection times.
During training it is possible for riders to inspect the course by foot, but
they must walk outside the course markings and not inside the course.
3. NACC EVENTS RACING
1) The maximum number of competitors
permitted in the Winter Series in each race is 160.
2) For the racing, riders will be seeded by the organisers for round 1 and
started in reverse order with the fastest rider last.
3) At subsequent rounds riders will be seeded by series points irrespective
of category, with the rider with the highest points total going last.
4) Each rider will start at a minimum of 30 seconds intervals.
4. COMMUNICATION
A) There must be a notice board at
registration, where all communiqués, results lists, start lists and
notifications will be posted in the.
5. PRESENTATION CEREMONIES PROTOCOL
1) There will be only one
Presentation Ceremony per event.
2) Presentation Ceremonies will always be held at the finish area.
3) All riders (top 3 places) involved in Presentation Ceremonies must arrive
at the scheduled time.
4) Trophies not collected can be forwarded at a cost of £10
6. CATEGORIES
1) Competitors will be divided into categories based on their age at
01/01/2008
1. Future Stars | riders born in 96/97
2. Juvenile | riders born in 94/95
3. Youth | riders born in 92/93
4. Junior | riders born in 90/91 except novices
5. Senior | riders born 79-89 except novices
6. Novice | riders born 69-91
7. Master | riders born 69-78
8. Veteran | riders born before 69
9. Non Elite Women | born anytime
2) The category for women, is open to all non-elite category women of all
ages. Women holding an Elite licence must race with their male counterparts.
3) Riders aged 17+ who have never
finished in the top 3 of their category EVER at any cycle race may opt to
enter the "Novice" category.
4) The top 3 novice riders at each
round will be moved to their age category for subsequent races.
7. CLOTHING AND PROTECTIVE
ACCESSORIES
1) An approved full-face helmet must be worn both when racing and when
training on the course. This rule applies to anyone doing more than one
round of the series.
2) NACC Events strongly recommends that riders wear the following
protection:
1) Back, elbow, knee and shoulder
protectors made of rigid materials
2) Padding on shins and thighs
3)Goggles or glasses
3) The following are compulsory
1)Full-length leg covering
2)Long sleeved shirt
The only exceptions will be when
riders have adequate body armour covering these areas.
3)Full finger gloves.
